"Yeah, wait and see what happens when you put it up against something that actually responds," she laughs, and now seems as good a time as any to rid herself of the metal gauntlets and her tee shirt. They're nowhere near as bulky as the first few sets she had, but they do take a minute to unlatch and take off, each separating from a ring just below her elbow joint that holds them on.

Each forearm is revealed to be fairly heavily scarred, the unique starburst patterns meaning only one thing; burns, from sweat turning to steam under high current. The skin is smoothed from months of using scar-reducing lotion, but it's still easily visible. And without the shirt the other few scars are too; two bullet wounds on her back, one long cut scar around her lowest rib on the right side.

"Seriously, though, they're kind of incredible, especially for what they are." It's just a tiny motor and an off-balance weight. But it's amazing, the effect that has.
