As with Jay and Sunshine, he doesn't ask about Noriko's scars. He doesn't pretend he doesn't see them; more like he sees them as simply a part of her, of who she is now. But how she got them is her business and her choice if she wants to tell him. And besides, her inhibition is beautiful in and of itself.

He flicks the switch on the device and it stills. He holds it up in his fingertips.
