Noriko was practiced at this. And more than that, she was good at hotwiring a car; she could get in and get it started in under a minute.

Which is at least part of why she's jimmying the door lock for one of the cars at the school, a very nice roadster in her very favorite color, black. It would make things easier for her if it wasn't an eye-catching color, attracting less attention and all that.

Once she was in, the hard part came about. Getting the cover panel off the steering column was never easy, and next to stripping the wires took the longest.

A sound in the garage caught his attention. Who would be in the garage at the school this time of night. He smiled to himself when he saw the flash of blue hair duck below the dashboard of the black roadster.

Logan leaned against the roof of the car and looked in as she worked."You know, Nori, If you want to borrow the keys, all you have to do is ask."

"Funny how you think that's gonna work," she says, lifting her head, one elbow resting on the wheel.

"These people barely trust us with homework, and we don't even leave the grounds to do it," she says, holding the plastic cover in her off hand. "Who thinks they're gonna give any of us keys to a car?"

"Don't sell them short, darlin'. The professor only wants to keep you safe," he said. "Though I suppose he wouldn't mind too much if you had a chaperon."

"Something tells me the professor has no idea how I got to New York from Tokyo with no money and no family," she says. "And I doubt my chaperone is gonna like where I'm going."

Since it is to get her navel pierced and buy hair dye.

"Well, I don't know if I'll like where you're going. You haven't told me yet," he said with a grin. Logan walked around the car and slid into the passenger seat. "So, where are we going?"

She eyes him blandly for the intrusion, sitting up and lifting a brow at the man most of the school lives in apprehension if not outright fear of.

"...That would be a body piercing shop and a Hot Topic for hair dye and tenga eggs," she says. "And if you don't know what those are you're probably better off." And she didn't really intend to explain it, either, because talking sex toys with the Wolverine was almost a laughable impossibility.

"Still convinced this is going to be a 'we' trip?"

Logan hadn't understood half of what she'd just said. He tacked it up to the fact that he was getting fairly ancient. Though if anyone had told him he'd live to see a day when people carried telephones in their pockets, he wouldn't have believed them.

"Well, I didn't say I was coming with you. You're going to drop me off, go do your thing and then pick me up before you go back. If anyone asks, you had an adult with you." Though the professor would see right through it. Still Logan would take the heat for any trouble Nori got into. "So what are you getting pierced?"

"Second helix and my nose," she says, amused at the look on his face. "So nothing too outlandish. The hair dye I do myself, I just have to go get more of it."

God, how she felt pity for a man most people were scared to death of was beyond her, but Nori was finding herself more at ease with the man given he didn't seem to be screwing with her about dropping him off. "You think the Professor's going to buy that, really?" she asks. "Long as you don't give me shit for what I get done, I don't mind if you keep me company." Hell, if he's coming, they can take his bike.

Technically Scott's bike, she supposes, but possession being nine-tenths of the law...

"I won't give you shit unless you do something really stupid." Logan generally didn't screw with people. "That's not too crazy." And considering he was already sitting in the car waiting for her to finish what she'd started. "It usually take you this long to hot wire a car?"

"Out of curiosity, what do you consider really stupid?" she says, brow raising.

"Not usually, but then normally I don't stop to have a conversation with tagalongs."

[logan_aka_wolverine]

"Really stupid would be anything that gets either us or the car permanently damaged," he said. Or basically anything he would normally do on a Friday night. "You want a hand with that?"

"So, anything fun," she teases, though it's so dryly said he'd be forgiven for not seeing it. "Thought we weren't doing anything that damaged the car."
