Noriko was at work--a fairly nondescript coffeeshop in the city--and while it had mostly been safe among the ever-turbulent tide of anti-mutant sentiment, this afternoon was apparently when her luck decided to run out. Normally she didn't use her powers openly while there, though the gauntlets she wore weren't exactly un-noticeable. But someone had asked her to light the candles that lit the reading area, and she'd done so as easily as she could, via a little spark of electricity between her fingertips.
The following shouts about her being a mutant were getting louder as she backed up against the nearest wall.

So once he'd put the suit back on he'd added swinging by on patrol every night. He'd picked up trouble as soon as he hit the roof and it was easy enough to slip in unseen getting behind the crowd and yanking the asshole threatening the barista back to toss him to the floor.
The crowd went completely silent the second Daredevil loomed out of the darkness. "The Kitchen is for everyone," he growls softly not wanting to toss his weight around in here unless he had to. "Choose carefully," he added as a warning, "I don't want to ruin a new business."

"Thank you," she murmured, still on high alert, but slowly working her way back to behind the counter where she could at least duck behind something solid. "You, uh...you're cool with us?"
Sure, there were subtler ways of asking someone if they hated mutants or not, but she really didn't want to risk getting the wrong answer the hard way.
